Founder John Wilkinson chose the system of Construction Management early in his career for construction of his projects. He believed the team oriented approach during the building design period to be beneficial to the project cost and efficiency. He preferred the client/designer/builder relationship determined by the Construction Management System. John decided to focus his career towards learning and understanding the various techniques and systems used in construction, so that he could assist clients and architects in designing buildings of quality that could be constructed efficiently.

In 1977 John launched his company in Edmonton. The new company provided practical design advice, budgeting, and scheduling for its clients during the project planning and pre-construction stages. When the project proceeded to construction, clients would be involved and informed about Trade Contractor selection, construction costs and the project schedule. Project costs would be controlled and closely monitored so that clients would not be caught off guard with cost overruns.

John believes that this pre-construction service results in more efficiency in building design and cost and consequently more satisfaction for customers. During thirteen years in Edmonton, the company managed the construction of custom homes, community buildings, churches, industrial warehouses, multi-family residences, commercial buildings, and office improvements.

In 1986 John relocated to Toronto and went to work for one of Toronto’s well established construction companies where he gained the knowledge, experience and necessary contacts to re-enter the business community.

In 1995 John re-launched his company and has since managed the construction of multiple low-rise and high-rise residential projects, retirement and nursing homes, church renovations, selfstorage facilities, industrial warehouses, schools and numerous office and retail renovations.

Jeff grew up on construction sites, touring projects with his father from an early age. This familarity with construction evolved into a passion for construction and development. Jeff enjoys the process of bringing projects from the clients vision to reality; collaborating with experienced and reputable design team. Jeff's expereince in the development industry provides him with a unique perspective that cleints appreciate. Jeff graduated in 2002 with a civil engineering degree from the University of Waterloo. After working for The Rockport Group for 3 years, Jeff went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Construction Management in 2006.

After that he went back to Rockport for 2 additional years and then moved on to Concord Adex Developments, where he spent 6 years managing projects at the Concord CityPlace and Park Place communities. At Concord Adex he oversaw the completion of the Parade condominium, a $280 million mixed-use project which included over 1700 residential units, a retail podium and pedestrian mews, a Skybridge connecting the two towers, and the Puente du Luez pedestrian bridge connecting the Cityplace neighbourhood to Front Street.

Since joining Wilkinson Construction in 2013 Jeff has been instrumental in increasing the company’s scale of work and improving it’s performance, focusing on growth in the residential sector.
